Workshop
The encounter between Mozart and da Ponte gave us perhaps one of the most transcendent collaborations in the field of opera. The talent of Lorenzo da Ponte and the genius of the Salzburg composer gave us three of the most famous operas performed throughout the centuries: “Don Giovanni, Così fan tutte and Le Nozze di Figaro”. Mozart’s musical style and the Italian’s libretto are both great and difficult to tackle.
The great lyrical singer and specialist Raúl Giménez together with the talented and also specialist Marina Viotti will work on the style and vocal technique in detail, unraveling fragments of these fantastic pieces in full . The workshop will have two modalities, one face-to-face and one remote through interactive live streaming.

– The face-to-face modality will take place in the city of
Barcelona, at the CONCERTANTE BARCELONA ACADEMIA
INTERNATIONAL OF MUSIC from November 14 to 18, 10
to 15.30. The first part of the morning will be divided into a work of
vocal technique from 10am to 12pm. After a short lunch break of
12.30 to 15.00 the arias and selected ensembles of
the Mozart trilogy and da Ponte. In addition to the workshop mode,
November 14 from 16:30 to 18:30 a conference will be held
dictated by the renowned Osteopath Yves Castaing who will speak
in terms of vocal health that will complement the closing of the
Workshop on the 18th from 2.30 to 3.30 pm. On days 15, 16 and 17 from 3:00 p.m.
at 15.30 Raul Giménez and Marina Viotti will briefly speak on
topics inherent to the profession of the lyrical singer.
