23th CONTEST JOSEP MIRABENT I MAGRANS
GENERAL INFORMATION
A competition organized with the aim of helping young musicians.
Performers of classical music of any nationality may participate in the competition.
The maximum age to participate in the singing competition is 35 years old, on the day of the competition.
The average age of the components of the chamber groups is 30 years old, on the day of the competition.
Chamber groups are considered to be ensembles formed by a minimum number of two performers.
Winners of previous competitions 1st prize, cannot participate.

AUDITION TEST
The competition will be held at the Casino Prado Suburense in Sitges (Barcelona).
The chamber music section will be held on Saturday 17th of June 2017.
The singing section will be held on Sunday 18th of June 2017.
The chamber music groups will present a repertoire with 2‐3 works of different styles, with a maximum duration of 15 minutes.
The singers will present a repertoire with 2‐3 works of different styles, with a maximum duration of 10 minutes.
The singers will have to bring an accompanying pianist or instrumental group. The organization can give the competitors the contact details of accompanying pianists.
The public will be admitted to all tests of the Competition. The order of performance will be determined by draw.
If the candidate does not appear when called for the audition test, it is understood that they have decided not to participate.
If the Jury asks for it, a copy of the chosen score, must be handed
The jury reserves the right to request a partial performance of the works presented or to interrupt them if considered appropriate.
The organization reserves the right to make recording of the competition and to broadcast it by any audiovisual means. The participants waiving any rights which may correspond to them for this reason.
Once the competition has ended, and following deliberation by the jury, the verdict shall be announced and the prizes awarded.
All matters not foreseen in these regulations will be dealt with by the Organizing Committee, in accordance with the Jury. All decisions are final.
These conditions are offered in different languages. In the event of doubt or of lawsuit, only the text in Catalan will be valid.

The jury shall be considered to be validly formed even in the event of the absence of some of its members. The organization reserves the right to replace any member of the jury if necessary.
The jury reserves the right to declare the prizes ex aequo or void if considered appropriate.

The prizes are paid in two terms. The day of the contest and in occasion of a concert to be held in Sitges during Summer 2017
For the concert, the organization will propose various dates. In case of no assistance, it is understood that the musician renounces to the concert and the financial part.
In the event of an ex aequo prize, the candidates will share the corresponding prize equally. Non‐attendance at the prize‐giving implies rejection of the prize by the winner.
All the cash prizes are subject to actual the legal taxes
REGISTRATION
The deadline for registration is on the 5th May 2017.
The registration fees are 60€ for the singing competition and 30€ per member for the chamber competition. For groups over 3 members, its cost will be 90 €

Participants must send the following documentation:
Duly completed and signed registration form or photocopy. One per participant. Photocopy of ID Card or Passport
Artistic CV, indicating studies, prizes, courses, concerts.
recording of the performer, minimum 10 minutes CD / DVD /Link Internet Photocopy of the registration fee payment slip

The Organizing Committee will select the candidates according to their musical quality. Priority will be given to those participants who apply for first time to the competition.
In the event of not being accepted, the registration fees will be returned by bank transfer.
